When we opened Straight Up Outside in 2021, we wanted to provide honest nutrition for our community & maintain a farm with resiliency. Today that looks like a small herd of dairy cattle that are all A2A2 producers and strictly grass-fed!

Besides sound cattle husbandry, we enjoy outdoor recreation, coffee, and raising our family alongside all of you! We appreciate those that continue to visit our farm to pick up their milk! 🥛🐄

This is our most recent test result on a bulk tank sample. Coliform is a group of bacterias; a low coliform test means that the there is good milking hygiene (cows have clean udders for milking, equipment is clean, fast chilling...)

As a raw milk farmer, it feels good to see this kind of test result 🐄🐄 We routinely test with at home test strips or mailed in to a local lab!

A calf’s first meal is liquid gold — colostrum!
After giving birth, a cow produces this nutrient-rich first milk, packed with antibodies, protein, and energy. Calves are born without immunity, so getting colostrum quickly helps protect them from disease and kickstarts their growth. 🥛

On our farm, we make sure each calf gets a good drink right away 🐄 a newborn calf can drink about a gallon of milk a day.
