What an incredible weekend for Team T's Smokin Bones Bar-B-Que!
This weekend, Adam had the opportunity to travel with us to Mississippi to The Shed Barbeque and Blue Joint and compete in the Rim Rumble, Kids Q competition—an experience he won't soon forget. Along the way, he got to meet and take photos with some true barbecue legends, including Brad Orrison, owner of The Shed BBQ, Bobby T, winner of Season 7 of BBQ Brawl, and the current back-to-back Memphis in May World Champion, Heath Riles.
But Adam didn't just show up—he showed out!
Competing in the 10–15 age division against 9 talented young pitmasters, Adam brought home 1st Place! His winnings included:
🏆 1st Place Trophy
💰 Over $200 in prize money
🔪 An awesome $100 knife from Spaceman Knives
And to make it even more special, he accomplished all of this on his birthday weekend!
For his award-winning entry, Adam created a unique hot dog "burnt ends" dish featuring:
🌭 Smoked 1/4-pound hot dogs cut into burnt ends 🧅 Caramelized onions on the bottom of the bun 🧀 A slice of Gouda cheese 🌶️ A pickled jalapeño slice 🥓 Grilled bacon bits
We couldn't be more proud of the hard work, dedication, and creativity Adam displayed this weekend.
The future of barbecue is bright, and it's exciting to watch him continue to grow his skills.
