With a heavy heart, we write to confirm that two of our beloved Ohana, Joel Villegas & Felimon Quijano, have perished in the devastating Lahaina wildfire on August 8th.

We send our deepest sympathies to the family and extended Ohanas of these two exceptional men. As a team, we are grieving this tremendous loss. There are no words to describe how much they will be missed by the Fleetwood’s Ohana.

We hope our Ohana and yours can somehow find peace as we all process so many overwhelming and tragic losses as a community.

Introducing Love for Lāhainā, a culinary pop-up series rooted in aloha and dedicated to supporting the hospitality industry and farmers across the island who have been impacted by the recent wildfires. Join us, every Sunday in October, to enjoy signature dishes from celebrated Lāhainā restaurants and beloved chefs, as you give back directly to those who have lost their homes and jobs.

The October Love for Lāhainā series includes:

October 1, 2023: Papa‘aina by Chef Lee Anne Wong
October 8, 2023: Māla Ocean Tavern by Chef Kalei Ducheneau
October 15, 2023: A Wayfinder’s Journey Dinner for Sail Trilogy and Hawaiian Navigator Kala Baybayan Tanaka, by Four Seasons Resort Maui Chef Samual Taganeca
October 22, 2023: Fleetwood’s on Front St. by Chef Eric Morrissette
October 29, 2023: Chef Isaac Bancaco for his Lāhainā ‘Ohana

Each event will feature a three-course prix fixe family-style menu and includes a glass of Champagne compliments of Love for Lāhainā sponsor Laurent-Perrier.

As many of you have probably seen on the news, Lahaina Town has suffered tremendous damage and with that Fleetwoods on Front Street has been lost. Words can not express the devastation that our community is facing right now.

Our main priority at the moment is the safety of our team members and staff. We appreciate your support and patience as we navigate this difficult terrain. Mahalo 🙏.

As most of you know Maui has been dealing with extreme fires created by the residual winds of Hurricane Dora. Lahaina Town has taken the brunt of it 💔. We do not have enough information at this time regarding Fleetwoods on Front St or any of our neighbors to share. Mahalo for your continued thoughts and prayers for our community and our first responders 🙏.
