Please help send our dear friend 98 year old Cille MacDonald of Lahaina, Maui to our nation’s Capital to accept
The Rosie the Riveter Congressional Gold Medal of Honor, a momentous event honoring the resilience and contributions of the iconic Rosie the Riveters during World War II. This prestigious ceremony will be presided over by the Speaker of the House, Congressman Mike Johnson, and is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, in Washington, D.C.

Cille, a longtime Lahaina resident, lost her home and all her possessions in the August 8, 2023 fire that destroyed her beloved Lahaina Community. This fund is seeking financial assistance for airfare and hotel expenses for Cille and her caregivers while in Washington, D.C.

From our hearts, to yours, Mahalo for the great care and outpouring of love at this horrific time. Reading each and every one of your replies, seeing your pictures, hearing your decades of family stories has been bittersweet. Our family feels less alone, knowing that so many of you are with us.
Our efforts to extend our Aloha and care continue as we prioritize the safety of our staff members and our larger Maui community, hundreds of whom have lost their homes and incomes overnight.
