Fowler House Mansion Our community's premier special events venue, the Fowler House Mansion, a Gothic Revival home built

The Fowler House Mansion is one of the finest surviving examples of Gothic Revival architecture in the United States. Built in 1851-52 by Moses Fowler who was a friend and business partner of John Purdue. The mansion is owned and operated as a special events venue by The 1852 Foundation a 501(c)3 public charity. The mission of the foundation is to preserve this amazing historical property as an as

We redesigned https://fowlerhouse.org/ and wanted to thank Mark Terborg from https://mjtwebsites.com/ for hosting our site for years! Highly recommended! We are finally ready to launch our own site, and wanted to be sure to give Mark Terborg many thanks and due credit for being a great partner.

Moses Fowler left a grand legacy in the Fowler House Mansion in Lafayette, Indiana. This impressive structure has a special way of telling the story of the Fowler family and the City of Lafayette.

Several families have called and asked about Mother's Day meals, but our restaurant is not open. We are sorry! Somehow The Fowler House has been mentioned on the radio this spring as a Mother's Day destination, but that information is unfortunately out of date. We are still open for events, e.g., weddings, bridal showers, baby showers, catered meals, etc.! Please feel welcome to call 765-400-2002 if you want to schedule an event. Anytime! We have two exterior doors (very thick, solid doors!) available at The Fowler House from before the 1852 Foundation's renovation. They would be perfect for anybody building a barn or garage. They are sitting on 10th Street behind The Fowler House if you want to see them. They are free for the taking!

Perhaps Prom season at Fowler House Mansion is finished for the spring? (Not sure!) It will feel lonely this weekend, without having hundreds of families taking pictures onsite! LOL! It has been a lot of fun to meet all of these families during the last 3 weekends of Prom season!
