Bread and Puppet
Bread and Puppet was founded in 1963 by Peter Schumann based on an anti-capitalist, community-driven cultural movement that simply spoke out against the atrocities within our communities and governments based on art, societal protests, and simply, ways of life. He began to create puppets and theater to exemplify the government as we know it. I beg you to look into Bread and Puppet Theater to understand the extent an artist will go/grow, and the way they live their lives to promote freedom and liberty through art.

My own personal note:
This artist has given everything of his knowledge of his time on this earth into his art and performance. This is clear. Everything he has put out on the streets and on his own property in Glover , VT, he has erected puppets and riots, and protests that you and I could not even fathom. He has insinuated what we could never. He has brought community together that most of us would never understand how to lead. Every masterpiece has come come out of refuse, and materials on hand, paper, paper, refuse. . Peter's motto , as I know it, is "Art should be a basic necessity for physical and spiritual sustenance, not a commercial commodity. "

In my opinion, we should all have access to art, or access to artists.

FREEDOM, MAINE. THE LOST KITCHEN.
We got to traverse to one of my inspirations, Erin French's TLK. There's a whole Netflix series (3 seasons I think), and you only have to watch one episode to get the incredible gist. She has built an amazingly gorgeous brand around her farm to table ethics and purity and simplicity of food. We werent there for the famous dinner everyone seeks out yearly, and if you know about TLK, you know that there are no reservations for dinners or just showups. You have to send a postcard in to Freedom, ME and the TLK picks. Its a lottery to get in to a dinner every year. It seems like her business has changed, and should, because amazing entrepreneurs have to. But without that, (and there have been no dinners this summer (rumor? Idk) but it seems theyve been focusing on lunch, and the cabins (nightly rental that includes private breakfast by the fire and a wood burning stove in your cabin, and for us southerners with no reason to ever need that, a reason to need and love that in the forest of Maine is life-changing. The experience was pure magic, and I even super-creeped into the garden and got a hug from her. We all love chefs, I know, that keep that farm to table ethic and especially women, who turn the tides on what we think is possible.

💥💥💥SHOUTOUT POST💥💥💥
We dont post much, and we should I guess.....
The most important thing i want to say--- is that our product, our ingredients, never decline and we dont give into the food distribution monopoly that will eventually wreck our nation and world. So, on that note, these are ONLY A FEW of our growers/food crafters/ farmers/ people who we support and love dearly
-The Johnsons provides our lettuce most of the year (even though lettuce hates louisiana in the summer) and a ton of other produce all year long.
-Straw Cove Baking Company woman owned business Downtown, providing all of our freshly milled flour sourdough buns, french bread, pita, and retail breads for take home
-DELTA GRIND 🌽 grits coming from a woman owned business in Mississippi who stonegrinds seasonal corn from the local farmers in the region
-Guidry Organic Farms always bringing us eggggggs
-Hillcrest Dairy doing our milk, buttermilk, and yogurt out of Deridder, LA
-R2 Positive Culture always providing the most naturally and locally harvested flavored komuchas and probiotic sodas along with others take home products
Sage’s Sea Moss, LLC Serenitea available in our retail cooler
- Coastal Prairie Nursery slinging this once in a state (because where else does this happen in Louisiana) organic, regenerative rice, coming through only at Scratch. What an amazing partnership.
-Phanat Xanamane also sitting in because he was in the building and it wasnt a produce day!!!! He provides a large CSA program and a bunch of really amazing seasonal produce options. Check him out, hes amazing!!!

I cant even tell you the bounty I feel with all of these producers. We are blessed and I will never buy from Sysco.
