๐Ÿšจ We need help. Right now. ๐Ÿšจ
The intakes are coming in faster than we can catch our breath. Baby birds. Baby skunks. Orphaned raccoons. Injured wildlife๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ’”. The phones never stop ringing, and every day the number of animals depending on us continues to grow๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ’”.
Our raccoon numbers alone are climbing at an alarming rate, and baby season is nowhere near over. Every animal that arrives needs formula, food, medications, medical supplies, testing, vaccines, laundry, heating, housing, and around-the-clock care. The costs are staggering.๐Ÿ˜ข
What many people don't realize is that we receive NO state funding and NO federal funding for our daily operations. We receive NO state or federal funding for vaccines, testing, formula, medications, or the countless supplies required to keep these animals alive๐Ÿ’”. Every single dollar comes from donations and the generosity of people who care.๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ
We are currently operating at one of the highest intake volumes we have ever seen, while facing record-high expenses.๐Ÿ’” The reality is simple ,the animals keep coming whether the funds are there or not. We don't get to tell a starving baby raccoon, an injured skunk, or an orphaned bird to come back when we can afford to help.๐Ÿ˜ญ
These animals need us. And right now, we need you.
If everyone reading this gave just a few dollars, it would make an enormous difference in helping us continue to answer the calls, provide emergency medical care, and give these animals the second chance they deserve.
Please donate if you can. Share if you can't. We are in the heart of baby season, and we cannot do this alone. โค๏ธ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿฆจ๐Ÿฆ
Every dollar matters. Every share matters. Every life matters.๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ
The photo below is ONE day of intakes all arriving within 24 hours๐Ÿ’”
Each one of these babies was tested for parvo , distemper and panleukopenia. Each one of these babies will be on a strict vaccine protocol and will be quarantined together in a more suitable enclosure ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

Nearly 160 years ago, the Pennsylvania SPCA made a promise to the animals of Philadelphia, and we've been keeping it ever since.

To celebrate our upcoming 159th birthday, we're giving back to the community we serve with a FREE spay/neuter event for dogs and cats this Sunday, June 7, right here at our Philadelphia headquarters, 350 East Erie Avenue.

If you're a Philadelphia resident and have been thinking about getting your pet spayed or neutered, please consider signing up now!

Filling out the interest form doesn't guarantee an appointment. Spots are limited, so the sooner you sign up, the better.
