It's October which means the menu has turned over to our Fall/Winter with fun new seasonal cocktails now here for your enjoyment.

We finally dipped our toes into a Barrel Proof Old Fashioned using our own Elijah Craig Single Barrel pick. With careful preparation we take a 126 proof bourbon, add in some of our favorite bitters, of course including Black Walnut and house made heavy syrup to keep it simple and garnish with a cherry. This bourbon forward treat is perfect for the colder days ahead as a perfect sipper to treat yourself on any occasion.

We HIGHLY recommend Novare Res Bier Cafe if you are traveling to Portland, Maine. The world wide b**r styles & selection along with outdoor patio are possibly the best in the downtown area. Don’t forget to ask about which b**rs are on cask, b**r engine, or Lukr!

Meet Joey's partner from Town and Country Animal Rescue, Cruz! On top of working to raise funds for the Animal Rescue it is our goal to get Cruz adopted by the end of the Whiskers and Giving Gala on October 17th. Here is a little behind his story:

Cruz found his way to Town & Country from Littlefield, TX just a little Northwest of Lubbock. Cruz avoided ending up in a kill shelter and arrived in Nebraska just over a month ago. Since then he has been waiting for his forever family.

The saddest part? Cruz has spent his entire life waiting. He has never known life outside of a shelter or rescue. He's never had a family of his own. Never had a couch that was his. Never had someone waiting at home for him.

If you or anyone you know would be interested in giving Cruz the life he deserves, please reach out to Town & Country for more information on adoption. Joey Jones!!

Born and raised in Papillion, Joey came back home after playing college football and baseball and has been putting down roots in the community ever since.

In 2020, he opened Heights Draft Room in La Vista.

Fun fact: When Joey was little, he wanted to be a veterinarian…until he found out just how much school that would require. 😂

Now, Joey gets to combine his love of animals and his love of bringing people together through one of his favorite days of the year: Paws & Pints with Town & Country Animal Rescue at Heights Draft Room.

There's nothing quite like seeing a bunch of happy dogs having the time of their lives with their people. 🐾🍻

Now, Joey is stepping onto the Green Carpet at this year’s Whiskers & Giving Gala with a little help from a very special four-legged friend. 🐾🐾

Does Joey have what it takes to win the Green Carpet Trophy? 🏆

Oktoberfest on Saturday looks to have brought the Fall weather here to stay and we couldn't be more excited.

A very big thank you is in order for the following as we catch up from another successful Oktoberfest along Main Street. Thank you to the guests, our staff, the vendors, the bands, volunteers, City of La Vista, Placemaker, La Vista City Centre, and anyone else who assisted or stopped by on Saturday. These events are a major undertaking for all involved and without each and every person they cannot and would not be what they are. Cheers to this amazing community we have around Heights.

A new development for your visits to La Vista City Centre! Did you know that the parking structure along 84th street is now 3 Hours free and a $1/per hour after that on all non-Astro event days? That's right! Parking just steps from Main Street for all your visits including Oktoberfest this Saturday (2-10pm) where you can catch the Husker Football & Volleyball game on TV outside in the biergarten. See you all soon for the festivities!
