🏆🤠 Y’ALL… WE HAVE SOME PRETTY BIG NEWS! 🤠🏆

The Wooden Spoon Kitchen & Bakery has been voted BEST OF TEXAS 2026 for Southern Restaurant by Guide to Texas®! 🎉

And this isn’t just a La Porte or Houston-area award — this is statewide, y’all. TEXAS. ❤️

Our guests nominated The Wooden Spoon and then showed up and voted for us. To see our little family-owned restaurant recognized in a statewide competition alongside some of the well-known restaurants we’ve admired for years like Taste of Texas, Pappas Seafood House, Niko Niko’s and so many others is incredibly humbling.

We pour so much of our hearts into this restaurant, and sometimes when you’re in the middle of the long days, busy kitchens and everyday craziness, you don’t realize how much what you’re doing means to people.

Then something like this happens. ❤️

To every single person who nominated us, voted for us, eats with us, recommends us, shares our posts, brings your family through our doors and continues to support The Wooden Spoon — THANK YOU.

And to our amazing team: this award belongs to you, too. Every plate, every table, every pie, every crazy Friday night… you helped earn this.

From our family to yours, thank you for putting The Wooden Spoon Kitchen & Bakery on the Texas map. 🥹🏆
