After getting his start in the restaurant industry at the young age of 11, Franco Francese is now the proprietor of the LaGrange Park, Illinois favorite, Mattone Restaurant and Bar. Known for their Italian and American cuisine, patrons come from all over to visit. Mattone was formerly known as D’s Little Italy, which was owned by Francese’s father, Domenic

o. During these days, Francese began familiarizing himself in different areas of the kitchen, carryout room, bar, and on the main floor. Francese has since made this location his own, naming it Mattone Restaurant and Bar, which is Italian for “brick.” Keeping with that theme, the restaurant features a large brick oven in the center of the restaurant, tall ceilings, rustic chandeliers, and is adorned with brick around the dining and bar areas. Francese has created a welcoming environment for the community to come and share a meal. Mattone is perfect for dinner, catering, take-out, delivery or accommodating your special events.
