Belly Dance IS Back! Welcome Home Claire Metz! 💃🏻🌹✨
Join us 😍 at Gypsy Hands Healing Arts Center on Thursday, June 25, at 5:30 p.m., as we launch our new Healing Arts Class Series:

Belly Dancing with Claire Metz (an eight week series)

Class 1: Thursday, June 25, 2026
5:30 p.m.–7 p.m.

Belly Dancing with Claire Metz is a beginner-level, eight-week dance series designed to be friendly, fun, and informative.

This is a non-judgmental series of classes—and all genders are welcome!

Price: $120 for the eight-week class; $20 for single-class drop-ins.

Class is limited to 20 dancers.

Claire Metz is a skilled Tribal Fusion Belly Dancer. She is well-versed in Poi and fire arts.

Claire’s journey with dance began at Gypsy Hands Healing Arts Center, where she studied under Proprietress Sara Griscom. She has performed at Bonnaroo, the Tennessee Theater in Knoxville, and The Orange Peel in Asheville, North Carolina.

Claire has also performed with several other renowned troupes, including Shadhavar Tribal Duo, Gypsyville Belly Dance, and Panty Raid! Burlesque. In 2010 she founded Humaya Tribal Fusion, a dance school and student troupe, to share her love of dance with the community of Knoxville and beyond.

Claire holds certifications in teaching Belly Dance through the Lisa Zahiya Teacher Training Program, Pilates Mat Level 1 with Power Pilates, and General Group Fitness through the YMCA. She is also CPR certified.

Her work invites viewers into a contemplative space where joy, sorrow, tension, calm, and contradiction can coexist — and where abstraction becomes both a personal practice and a way of connecting to something larger.

Gosney Kirk earned her BFA in Graphic Design and MS in Education from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and is a teaching artist at Belle Morris Elementary. She works primarily in acrylic, ink, watercolor, gouache, and mixed media on canvas and paper.

Circle of the Sacred Feminine 🌹
Join us at Gypsy Hands Healing Arts Center on Sunday, May 17, for Circle of the Sacred Feminine, a guided gathering designed to help participants reconnect with their voices, energy, intuition—and inner sense of strength.
Facilitated by Wendy Smith and Susie Dew, the circle will include energy work, breathwork, reflection, and open conversation. The gathering is intended for women who want to build community, take time for self-care, and share sisterhood—listening to themselves and exploring connection with one another through reflection and conversation.
The gathering will move between introspective moments and group exchange: connecting with the breath, the physical body, and the energy body; engaging in practices such as an energy ball exercise; and using the voice for somatic release through sound. Participants will have the opportunity to speak and listen in the larger group and pairs or trios—creating connection. Time will be held at the close for informal conversation.
Wendy Smith is a Reiki master, yoga instructor, and energy worker who believes in the power of presence, healing, and the divine light.
Susie Dew is a wellness practitioner whose work includes functional nutrition, herbalism, breathwork, and shamanic energy healing. She is devoted to helping women reconnect with their bodies, intuition, and wisdom.
This is not a seminar or lecture, but a safe space to participate, to be heard, and to grow through shared experience and wisdom. Wendy and Susie provide guidance, helping maintain balance so that each participant has the opportunity to be witnessed, while also offering tools that can support daily life.
Wendy and Susie will guide participants through an experience of reflection, connection, and discovery, with room to contribute—and leave feeling more grounded.
