There are at least two quotes that I can use. (1) Mrs. Spanky is hot or (2) It’s only a flesh wound. (If you know the movie, you know the movie). Sadly, Mrs. Spanky burned her arm on an incredibly hot oven door, but she didn’t stop as we had to open for lunch. At the end of the day, when things slowed down, we took a picture. Note; afterwards we went to the gym and Mrs. Spanky placed a cold bar on her shoulder as it was Team JCC squat night.

On Monday we were insanely busy for this time of year, but on Friday we were...busier (line, literally, out the door). We close at 4; but we had a ton of clean up and prep; this is a group photo with the clock in the background (7:18). We got home so late I didn't get my old man nap, instead I went to bed very early. As I said on Monday and I'll say again; trust us aren't complaining, this is a blessing. When the hard times come (and they always do from time to time) you will remember the days that you were busy and tired; enjoy the busy days: they come and go and when they go you will miss them.

VIKING UPDATE 2 of 2: Some years New York finishes in the top 10, some years they don't. New York was already in the top 10, BUT Ed adding a Viking for New York today, really solidifies their position. No guarantees, BUT the odds of New York finishing in the top 10 look VERY good. Check out our good friend Linda smiling in the background. I'm not sure if Linda is smiling at Ed's accomplishments or because she had a Super Dawg for lunch; hard to beat a Super Dawg!!!

When Mrs. Spanky and I were younger, dating but not married, we worked at George’s Junction which was a buffet. I don’t think that we have any pictures; we were a year or two younger than the picture shown (which is Jimmy's). The two of us would take our two sections and combine them into one. I would take all of the drink orders and figure out the ages (kids/adults) for both sections and then I’d bring the tickets back where Mrs. Spanky would make drinks and then we would take the drinks to the customers. Essentially, I was doing a lot of the talking and Mrs. Spanky was in the back doing a lot of the work and in many ways what we did then reflected who we would become. Interesting that we started off opposite at Spankys; Mrs. Spanky ran the register and I cooked, that wasn’t in either of our personalities, so we switched; Mrs. Spanky cooks and I talk. I guess in the end we are who we are.

VIKING UPDATE 3 of 3: Finally, we had Billy finish a Viking for Maryland!!! Billy is pictured with two of his daughters; Billy has three daughters (if I'm not mistaken) who wrestle; we talked about that last year and this year. Girl's wrestling is exploding in popularity. I 'think' we've had two boys state champions over the last 5-6 years from this area, but we've had four girls from the same area win state titles and two (one being our daughter) were nationally ranked. Great job Billy and thumbs up to your wrestling daughters; don't forget to post some pictures in the comments.
