Hi CHC Community,
As you have likely heard, CHC's founder and managing partner, Steve (AKA Red/Big Red/Pizza Steve), died unexpectedly a few weeks ago. As his sister, I am truly heartbroken, along with many of his friends and family members.
I understand that some of his friends are hosting a memorial service on July 17. This is separate from what his family is arranging but we appreciate the support from the community. I do want to make it clear that we--his family--have not arranged any sort of donation fund. If you want to honor my brother, I suggest doing one of the following:
1. Tip your pizza guy
2. Support your local restaurants. The industry was hit very hard during Covid and needs your help. If you can cook and want a side gig, there are thousands of spots out there that would take you!
3. Cheer on your sports team even when they are losing. Steve hated fairweather fans (unless you are a Patriots fan, in which case, feel free to hate on your team).
4. Adopt a dog from Table Mountain Animal Shelter, where Steve adopted his dogs (who he adored).
We are doing our best to keep things at CHC running smoothly, but as you can imagine, there are a lot of logistics to figure out. In the meantime, I appreciate your support and want to give a special shout-out to the guests who actually helped me unload supplies a couple weeks ago. Steve loved his customers, and I can see why.
