We are a small mom and son restaurant. We’ve been open for nine years. We’ve been rated the number seven seafood restaurant in America and number three in Central Florida. However, with everything going on in the world, tourism has dropped dramatically, and 95% of our guests were tourists. We love what we do. My mother actually opened up the first Filipino restaurant in Chicago for 30 years, and we enjoy delivering delicious food to people.
So far, we haven’t raised any prices as we love our guests so much we didn’t want to scare them away, but with the decline of visitors, we need help to keep delivering delicious food. Every penny goes right back into operating. Our landlord has neglected the property and has given us a hard time, knowing we are suffering due to their negligence. Yet, we show up and work as hard as we can, as so many repeated guests over the past nine years make it a point to stop and visit and have a beautiful family dinner at our establishment.
Our goal is to raise enough for operating until hopefully the world goes back to normal. Though I did not allow tariffs to affect me, it did, but in good faith, I never changed my prices because I love the guests that walk in our doors. Every penny will help to keep us going. Like I said, we are a small mom and son Filipino establishment that serves low country boil seafood and specialty Filipino dishes. Our wish is to continue what we love doing the most: giving families an experience that keeps them returning year after year, as it has been for the past nine years.
