My precious aunt, Donitta Mullins, has recently been diagnosed with an aggressive form of lung cancer. At the time of diagnosis, the mass measured 11 cm, and doctors have told us it is fast-growing, inoperable and in the final stages.
She is a widow with no children and has been living on a fixed income with no life insurance.
Right now, Hospice comes out once a week to help with her care. I was also the only provider in our home after she retired until my workplace, Krazy Chicken Restaurant, closed in March after 7 years of employment. Because she needs someone with her at all times, I am unable to return to work right now. I have been helping provide with my savings since then, but that is now running low while providing for my teenage son at the same time.
We are facing the reality of her final expenses, and it is more than we can manage alone. We also recently learned that her roof needs to be replaced, adding another unexpected burden during an already difficult time.
I am humbly asking for prayers first and foremost—for comfort, strength, peace, and God's grace during this incredibly difficult journey.
