Funny thing about small business…..
People can tell stories. They can make claims. They can rewrite history.
But plans, notes, recipes, photos, permits, purchases, and months of hard work tend to tell their own story.
We learned early on that reputation is built quietly.
Not through rumors.
Not through gossip.
Not through telling people who you are.
It’s built one early morning, one market, one recipe test, one menu item, and one customer at a time.
From the first ideas sketched out months before we ever opened our window, to the long nights of testing, planning, building, and preparing, we’ve poured our hearts into Batter Up Buttercup.
The truth is, running a small business keeps us busy enough. Between events, prep work, inventory, recipes, permits, and serving customers, we barely have enough hours in the day for our own business, let alone anyone else’s.
We’d rather spend our time making mini pancakes, waffle sticks, corn dogs, and creating new things for our customers than worrying about rumors.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us from the planning stages, our opening day, and every market since.
Consistency never goes out of style.
We can’t wait to spend the summer with all of you……at the Farmers Market, your graduation parties, birthday parties and everything in between!
See ya Thursday, buttercups.
