Due to low water levels on the Mississippi River, the scheduled August 9th docking of the American Duchess at the Port of Kimmswick has been cancelled.

We look forward to the next boat docking on Sunday, August 21st.

With our original location in DeSoto that features an expansive park like setting with koi ponds, waterfalls, Greek statue fountains and open spaces or our 2nd location in Historic Kimmswick located in a log cabin that was built circa 1770 (6 years before the signing of the Declaration of Independence), we have you covered with every desired experience.

It was a great honor to welcome riverboat passengers from American Queen Voyages riverboats that docked at the Port of Kimmswick over the last 5 days (3 dockings in 5 days) to LaChance Vineyards for a premium winery tasting/food pairing experience.

We had a great time showing the passengers what makes LaChance Vineyards so special.

We look forward to the remainder of the riverboat dockings for 2022!!

The American Countess will be docking Midday at the Port of Kimmswick this Sunday, 7/10.

It is so great to see riverboats docking at the port and exposing their guests to the Historic City of Kimmswick and Jefferson County.

Come on out to snap some photos of the boat while docked (can't board the boat as that is only permitted to cruise guests) and explore the boutique shops, restaurants and winery of Historic Kimmswick.

Did you know The Old House log cabin (home to LaChance Winery of Kimmswick and The Old House Steakhouse) was built circa 1770?

That is 6 years before the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

It is a very cool and historic log cabin where you can see 250+ year old logs with the broad axe marks on them and a very large 72” fireplace.

It is an amazing building to see and enjoy some great wines and delicious lunch and dinner items.
