Momona Bakery opens its new daily bake stand, bringing one of Maui’s most beloved local bakeries into the Queen Kaʻahumanu Center. Founded by head baker Sofía Prassolo, originally from Argentina, Momona Bakery & Coffee Shop first opened its doors in Kahului just two and a half years ago.

Aurum Maui has officially opened at The Shops at Wailea — and it’s hoping to be a shining new star on Maui’s dining scene! Led by Maui natives Chef Taylor and Natasha Ponte, the menu is beautifully crafted with island-grown ingredients, sustainable seafood, and inspired New American cuisine in a casually elegant setting.

Their Golden Hour Happy Hour 🍻 runs daily from 3‑5 PM, and you can expect everything from spicy prawns to a signature Lobster 🦞 Seafood Roll — plus desserts like Haʻikū honey ice cream and Apple Banana cake!! Plus, we kamaʻāina get 10 % off a la carte meals. (hmmm?)

Aurum Maui, a new “refined yet approachable” new American dining restaurant led by Chef Taylor Ponte and General Manager Natasha Ponte, has opened at The Shops at Wailea. The Pontes are partners in this new restaurant venture, according to Destination Hospitality Group.

🌺 Seascape Restaurant at Maui Ocean Center is one of those hidden gems you might pass by without realizing just how good it is! Located right inside the aquarium, this spot offers stunning ocean views, consistently delicious food, and now, it looks like they’re adding live Hawaiian cultural shows including hula – what a perfect pairing with lunch or dinner. 🍽️

The restaurant is usually open for lunch daily until around 5pm, and I believe they’re extending to dinner on select evenings (Thurs–Sat). While the interior could use a little more tropical flair, the fresh local dishes and the peaceful Maʻalaea setting more than make up for it.

If you haven’t been in a while, this sounds like a great time to check it out again.

Maui Chef McKena Shea of Pacificʻo on the Beach was crowned the champion of Food Network’s Chopped Tuesday night. She won the episode entitled “A Bunch of Abalone!” and took home the $10,000 top prize.

I was driving past Chick-fil-A so I thought I’d stop in my god the line is already out to the road even before 6 AM but I’m getting out of the line because they’re serving breakfast and I want to try their famous sandwiches!
By the time I took the picture of the line started moving I guess they open at 6:00 AM for breakfast
