Key West Oyster Fest 2026, taking place Saturday, November 14, at the historic Half Shell Raw Bar on the Key West waterfront, we are making environmental responsibility a major part of this year's celebration.

Presented by Half Shell Raw Bar and Everglades Oyster Company, the festival will feature several environmentally conscious initiatives designed to reduce waste, eliminate the need for many traditional single-use plastics, and demonstrate how the hospitality industry can help protect our oceans and marine ecosystems.

Every oyster shell collected during Key West Oyster Fest 2026 will be recycled. One of the festival's most innovative environmental features will be the use of StrawFish beverage cups manufactured using calcium carbonate derived from oyster shells.

The Half Shell's bartender extraordinaire Greek's tee shirt is back up at the Sail Fish Bar. After her previous one was stolen, we added extra security measures so this would not happen again. Greek is right up there next to another Half Shell great, Patti Doe.

What a great premier last night at the Tennessee Williams Theater of the Key West red-carpet event of the showing of Key of Bones, Curse of the Ghost Pirate. The movie premiered at the Cannes Film Festival to fantastic reviews. The cast and crew were all at the premier and the Half Shell Raw Bar catered the premier. After the Q&A everyone headed to the Half Shell's Sailfish Bar for an after party into the early morning hours.

Half Shell's & Everglades Oysters Friday oyster pick up. Even on a rainy Friday morning the crew at the Half Shell is loading up 11 / 32-gallon bins of oyster shells to head northwest to Everglades Oysters. For the month of September 5,117.92 pounds of oyster shells were kept out of landfills by the Half Shell Raw Bar & Everglades Oysters.
