We are so excited to be part of today’s Buddy Walk at Windmont Park in Kewanee, IL! 💙

You can find us right by the big gate entrance at the corner of Beach Street and McClure. We are serving our regular menu from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm

It’s a beautiful day to get outside, enjoy a walk, and support such a wonderful cause! ☀️💙

THE RIBS ARE BEING PULLED OFF THE SMOKER AS I AM TYPING THIS POST.

To make things simple we will have the ribs ready for pickup at the Kewanee VFW location 200 W 5th St, at 4:30pm where we will be setting up for tonight's dinner crowd.

WE CAN'T APOLOGIZE enough and we are truly thankful and grateful for everyone's patience and understanding.

Hi Covenant Barbecue Friends and Followers,
We will be open at 11:00 am but we won't have ribs yet. Due to the unusually chilly weather this morning the smoker is struggling to keep up to temp.

We will be open with our regular menu at 11:00am.

Those of you who have pre-orders please continue to check Facebook for updates of when they will be ready today.

Hi Covenant Barbecue Friends and Followers,

Due to the unusually chilly weather this morning (Friday, Oct 2, 2026), we will be opening later than planned today. We are currently experiencing some difficulty getting our smoker up to temperature, which has delayed our rib-smoking process. Those of you who have smoked ribs understand that the temperature is so important to this process.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through this and make sure everything is cooked to the quality you've come to expect from Covenant Barbecue.

Hi Covenant Barbecue friends and followers, We will be set up at 330 North Main St, Kewanee (Old Pines Trailer/Great Dane entrance by the railroad track) from 11:00ish am (As soon as the ribs are done we will be there) until 3:30 pm. We then move to Kewanee VFW at 200 W 5th St. from 4:30pm until 7:00 pm. Ribs are our special this weekend while quantities last. We will also be serving our regular menu this weekend.
Saturday we are excited to be setup at Windmont Park from 10:00am until 2:00pm for the 4th Annual Buddy Walk Kewanee.

We hope to see you at anyone of these locations this weekend.

We have another busy weekend. This weekend will be a Rib Weekend while supplies last, and we'll be serving in several locations throughout the weekend.

Friday, 11:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
You can find us at our regular location:
330 North Main Street
Kewanee, IL 61443
(Located at the old Pines Trailer/Great Dane location by the railroad tracks.)
We will be serving our full regular menu, along with our delicious smoked ribs while supplies last. Be sure to stop by early so you don't miss out!

We are still taking pre-orders through tomorrow evening, September 29, 2026 until 7:00 p.m.

Saturday: Buddy Walk at Windmont Park
We are excited to be part of the Buddy Walk at Windmont Park on Saturday. We will be set up at the park from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
This is a wonderful event and a great cause, and we hope you'll come out to support it.
The Buddy Walk is part of a national movement that raises awareness, promotes acceptance, and encourages inclusion for individuals with Down syndrome. Locally, the event also supports Kewanee's Best Advocate (KBA), a nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting families in our community who have special needs.
We are honored to participate in this event and look forward to serving everyone while supporting such an important cause.
