It's a beautiful morning for a bake sale in Ketchum. Come by Jones Hardware to get some sweet treats and support Ketchum Cheerleading as they raise money for camp and uniforms. We will be here until 11 or when we sell out.

Come see us tomorrow at Ketchum Elementary School for the Booster Club Shop Local Market. We will be set up with a ton of freshly baked goodies.

We will have lemon blueberry cookies, caramel crunch cookies, Mexican wedding cookies, double chocolate cookies, brownies, coconut mini pies, banana mini pies, chocolate mini pies, pecan mini pies, fudge, sweet holiday snack mix, spicy snack mix, chocolate peanuts, and herbed rolls.

It's almost pie time! Yes, we are making pies again this year for Thanksgiving!

Pumpkin, coconut, German chocolate, old fashioned egg custard, and chocolate creme pie, plus carrot cake and 4 layer chocolate cake.

All pies are $25. Carrot cake serves 10-12 people, $25. 4 layer chocolate cake serves 14-16 people, $45. Pick up is in Ketchum on Wednesday Nov 22nd between 8-4.

I got my first seed catalog this week but the big pots on my porch won't be necessary this year. My brother and nephew have turned out to be, quite the gardners. Not only do they share, they deliver to me. You can't beat a deal like that.

I have a new job! It is in a completely different field but still meeting and visiting with people. I invite you to "like" Spoonbill's Event Center in downtown Ketchum to keep up with coming events, parties and simple gatherings. There will be fun, food, and I guarantee, laughter. We are updating the website so you won't want to miss a single thing. This old building has housed several things but new life is being breathed into it.
I never want to quit meeting new people and talking about food. This gives me the opportunity to do just that. Stay tuned to coming events. If your group or company has a meeting or party in the works, this is the perfect place to hold it. There is seating for 20 or 200 and has a great family atmosphere, as well.

Today was our last day of operation at Sandye's Kitchen. I retired over a year ago and went right back to work doing what I love, cooking and visiting with friends. It proved to be harder than I thought. Could it be I'm not as young as I used to be??
Many thanks to our customers for their support. I appreciate you more than you probably know. It has been fun getting to know so many new people and learning their likes and favorite foods.
I don't plan to sit at home and watch soap operas all day. There are already plans being made for new adventures that are not quite as hard on this old body. I'm on to the next chapter of my life.
Thank you for your understanding. It has been great and I'm glad you were a part of it.

Good Friday morning!!!
We're having chicken salad sandwiches with a side of fresh fruit.
For dessert we have turtle cheesecake, double berry cheesecake, fudge brownies, pecan shortbread, lemon blueberry cookies, chocolate chip cookies, and of course it's FRIDAY which means FRIED PIES!!! Today we're making apple, peach, cherry, apricot.
