When we first moved from to our mooring dock in Ward Cove, the new cruise ship pier was still just an idea, and our side of the cove was overall pretty quiet, with mostly just ourselves, the eagles, and our neighbors at Remote Made Easy coming and going from the dock. We used to joke that the post-apocalyptic look of the old, abandoned pulp-mill era buildings brought a particularly unique brand of Welcome to Alaska flavor to the start of our tour.

Suffice to say, it's been a wild experience to watch the landscape rapidly change around us, first when the pier was built and The Mill at Ward Cove opened, and now with all the incredible development occurring from the folks behind Port of Ward Cove. We've already welcomed in more neighbors - from tour companies such as Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show and Ketchikan AdventureVue to local food and beverage vendors such as Minerva Coffeeworks, Fishes & Dishes Eatery, Alaskan Oyster Shack, Ketchicones and more!

If you haven't had a chance to check out The Boardwalk down on the opposite side of the cove, consider this our official recommendation. It's becoming a real happening place!
