There was a time when leaving the house meant something.
You looked in the mirror, fixed your hair, straightened your clothes, and made sure you represented yourself and your family with pride. It wasn’t about impressing strangers. It was about respecting yourself.

Going to the grocery store wasn’t a casual afterthought. It was part of life. You greeted people you knew. You made eye contact. You stood a little taller. Even on hard days, you showed up looking like you cared.

Somewhere along the way, we traded pride for comfort and manners for convenience. Maybe progress made life easier, but it also made us forget that how we present ourselves often reflects how we value ourselves.

This wasn’t about fashion.
It was about dignity.
And dignity used to matter.

To all our friends who may be in the ice belt tomorrow:
This can be really helpful and can be “powered” by tea lights. Obviously, be careful of the open flame and the clay pot gets really hot.

I’m in my last third of my life on this earth, I have learned that dying is inevitable. No one can stop it. We have one life to live. The material things we invest in are left behind. Memories, therefore, are important. So, I'm going to start a "Reunion of Friends". The idea is to see who reads a post without a picture. If no one reads my post, this will be a very short experiment. But if you are reading this message, make a comment using a single word about how we met. After that COPY this message on your wall and I will also leave you a word. Please, don't leave a word and then not bother doing the second thing. Let’s go! Friends and family are important.
