Tonight marks the beginning of Memorial Day weekend.

For many, it’s a weekend filled with family gatherings, backyard cookouts, parades, and the unofficial start of summer. And while those traditions are worth celebrating, we’d like to begin the weekend by remembering why this holiday exists in the first place.

Memorial Day is dedicated to the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice made possible the freedoms and moments we enjoy every day.

As we gather with family and friends this weekend, may we also take a moment to reflect, remember, and give thanks to those who never made it home.

From our family to yours, thank you to all who have served and to the families who continue to carry the weight of that sacrifice.
