NOW HIRING: Back Line Cook / Kitchen Help
Are you a hard worker who takes pride in serving great food to your community? Stormin’ Normans is looking for dependable, high-energy individuals to join our back-line team. We are a family-focused restaurant built on Faith, Family, and Food.

What You’ll Do:
-Prepare and cook our signature menu items (Fried Chicken, BBQ, Seafood, and classic Southern sides).
-Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
-Work efficiently on the back line to ensure quick service during lunch and dinner rushes.
-Collaborate with the team to provide a "remarkable" experience for our guests.

What We’re Looking For:
-Reliability: You show up on time and ready to work.
-Team Player: You edify your coworkers and maintain a positive attitude.
-Skill: Prior experience with commercial deep fryers or Southern-style cooking is a plus (but we will train the right person!).
-Integrity: We hold our team to high standards of character.

Requirements:
-Must provide professional references.
-Must be willing to undergo a background check.
-Ability to stand for long periods and handle a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Today marks one year since our beloved owner, Mary Alice Richardson, went home to be with Jesus.

She is deeply missed by our Stormin Norman’s family and by so many in this community.

Her son, Rickey, wanted to share these words in her honor:

“Mommy it’s been a year today since you met JESUS. I Miss you 😢 and God knows that.
I had so many things I wanted to write you in a letter. So many of your friends have gone on to Heaven since you left. Especially our Precious aunts Betty Jean and Ruth.
So many of our customers and friends have joined you now in Heaven no more pain for you all
You would be amazed at the number of people that come to the restaurant and express how much they miss you. Countless stories about how you touched them. You are still loved by so many.
Jesus used you and continues to use your memory here on this earth to try and help people to understand Heaven is real and Jesus is the only way to that destination.
I think I miss you at CHURCH worshipping with me. Unashamed of our savior JESUS CHRIST. I cry almost every Sunday. I can hear you singing and raising your hand in worship to JESUS with me , Becky and Rebecca. That empty chair is always a reminder.
Well God gave me a song that says so much about you. Remember I introduced you to Jelly Roll. It’s amazing God sent this song to me, you loved his worship song’s when many people your age would never listen to him because of his looks and past but my cool 😎 mama did. Just your nature of believing GOD could use anyone because Jesus forgives us if we just ask

This letter is Glorifying JESUS Because He loves us all. He will wipe away every tear. I praise JESUS for giving me a mommy like you.

Just a quick heads-up that Stormin' Norman’s closed today at 3:00 PM. As the winter storm begins to move in and road conditions change, we wanted to ensure every member of our hardworking team was able to get home safely and off the roads before the ice sets in. ❄️🏠

Stay safe and stay warm, Kenly! Out of an abundance of caution and for the safety of our dedicated team, Stormin' Norman’s will be closing early today at 3:00 PM.
With the Winter Storm Warning in effect and ice starting to move in later today, we want to ensure our staff can get home safely before conditions get treacherous.

But first—come warm up with us for lunch! 🍲🔥
