Introducing a very special Slow Bar Saturday for the month of September, featuring a sneak peak of our unreleased blend. A Cherry Blossom Yuzu Espresso Tonic, built around Double Feature, a blend of a thermal shock washed and natural, Colombian coffees created in collaboration with Black & White Coffee Roasters.

Made of a cherry blossom–infused tonic, cherry cordial, and espresso shaken with yuzu syrup, highlights the fruity character of this special coffee. Double Feature is a product of husband and wife producers, Jhonatan Gasca and Alejandra Munoz Gasca. Each showcasing a coffee of the same varietal, but different processing methods.

Double Feature launches Tuesday, Sept. 8 on our website and in cafes. Stop by Slow Bar every Saturday this September from 9am - 1pm to try this unique Slow Bar special.

Flash brew coffee delivers iced coffee in minutes, maintaining the vibrant profile of the coffee, without sacrificing clarity or complexity.

By compensating a part of the total water weight with ice and brewing the hot coffee as more of a concentrate, the dilution is calculated, resulting in an aromatic and crisp cup while avoiding over-extraction.

The fast paced chilling of the coffee helps keep the floral, fruity, and brighter notes that typically define a high-quality coffee. The preservation of the acidity in a flash brew makes the cup stand out over cold brew coffee, which tends to be a more mellow and low-acidity profile.

While the weather is this hot, we can’t help but lean towards making our coffee iced. Come by and try any of our current single origins as a flash brew.

The Slow Bar Saturday special we are offering this month is an affogato with a floral twist. Betty Rae's Lavender Ice Cream topped with a HUGO TEA Earl Grey infused honey drizzle, served alongside a shot of Finca Espiritu San Luis, a natural anaerobic coffee from Costa Rica.

Lavender and bergamot bring out the coffee’s bright, fruit-forward character, while honey ties everything together with a little extra sweetness and depth.

Pour the espresso over, grab a spoon, and enjoy.

We’re thrilled to introduce this new naturally processed coffee from the Cerro Buena Vista Micromill. Grown in the southern region of Costa Rica, Brunca experiences a unique weather cycle due to its proximity to the equator. The region’s tropical climate, abundant rainfall, and nutrient-rich soils create ideal conditions for coffee cultivation. These conditions support slow cherry maturation and contribute to the complexity and sweetness found in this coffee.

The cup has a dark fruit sweetness with a smooth caramelized body. Rich and layered, this coffee highlights Costa Rica’s deep coffee heritage and the innovation that continues to drive its specialty coffee industry forward.
