🚨 LONG POST INCOMING, CHAOS CREW! 🚨

The American Royal World Series of Barbecue is officially in the books! The new venue is going to be amazing, and we’re excited to see what the future holds at the Royal’s new home.

As always, the Royal was crazy, exhausting, and a hell of a lot of fun. We got to see our BBQ family, make some memories, and cook alongside some of the best in the world.

We had a pretty decent cook. Our Hunsaker Smokers ran perfectly, powered by B&B Charcoal No equipment issues, no major problems—everything went smoothly. Naturally, that’s when a competition BBQ cook starts getting suspicious. 😂

Overall, we were happy with the food. Didn’t love everything, but didn’t absolutely hate anything either. We had some tenderness issues, and we know where to make adjustments. Always learning. Always chasing that next good bite.

Here’s where we landed:

🐔 Chicken: 202nd
🐷 Ribs: 183rd
🐖 Pork: 273rd
🐄 Brisket: 244th
🌭 Sausage: 50th

🏆 Overall: 245th out of 360 of the best BBQ teams from around the world.

Congratulations to all our friends who heard their names called. Seeing our BBQ family take those walks is always a highlight.

❤️ But by far, the greatest walk of the weekend belonged to our son. After more than 70 days in the ICU and rehabilitation center following his accident, he was able to make it down to the Royal with us.

Having him there meant more than any score, trophy, or call ever could. We’re grateful beyond words for that moment and for everyone who has supported our family through these past few months.
