WHAT A NIGHT AT THE 1019!
A huge thank you to everyone who came out this evening for our Thursday Cheeseburger Night with live entertainment at Aroma Park American Legion Post 1019!
Many new faces, many new memories, great music, damn good cheeseburgers, and an atmosphere that keeps getting better! That’s what 1019 is all about!!
We’ve had many customers asking us to bring entertainment to our famous Cheeseburger Nights, and I can honestly say tonight was another GREAT DAY at 1019!
Justin from Justin and John Unplugged did a fantastic job entertaining everyone this evening. Justin, thank you for bringing the music and helping make tonight such a success! We heard you, folks, and we’re excited to keep building on what we started tonight!
A HUGE SHOUT-OUT to our kitchen staff!! Lionel R. and Mike G., THANK YOU, for serving up some DAMN GOOD GRILLED CHEESEBURGERS! The compliments we received from our customers about today’s food were fantastic. You guys knocked it out of the park!
OUR BARTENDERS WERE ALSO ROCK STARS TODAY!
* Nena - Day Shift
* Sarah - Afternoon Shift
Ladies, you were both fantastic today! Thank you for your hard work, your service, and for helping make our customers feel welcome.
Our Auxiliary!! As always, fine, fine job!!
I had the opportunity to visit with many customers today, and hearing their compliments about the food and bartender service made the day even more rewarding!
AND LET’S TALK ABOUT THE NEW LOOK TAKING SHAPE INSIDE 1019!
As Acting Commander, I was proud to hear the many compliments about the changes taking place inside our Post. These improvements are about more than TVs, décor, or a fresh look. They’re about creating a welcoming place where our members, veterans, families, and new friends want to spend their time. Reminder, we ARE open to the public, so feel free to drop by and say hello.
This progress is happening because our Legionnaires, Sons of The American Legion, and Auxiliary are working TOGETHER toward a shared vision. When we put our differences aside, roll up our sleeves, and work together, great things can and will happen! That’s the SPIRIT of this AMERICAN LEGION!
A special thank-you to Ben and Amy S. from Gilman, Illinois, for making the trip to visit us tonight! We appreciate you choosing 1019, and we hope you enjoyed the cheeseburgers, the entertainment, and the atmosphere. We look forward to seeing you again real soon!
And to EVERYONE who walked through our doors tonight, whether you’re a longtime regular or someone visiting us for the very first time……THANK YOU! Your support means more than you know.
We’re building something special here at the 1019, and nights like this remind us exactly why we’re doing it.
We are getting better and we’re just getting started!
Keep watching for what’s coming next. We look forward to welcoming you back to Aroma Park American Legion Post 1019, right here on the beautiful Kankakee River!
Thank you again everyone,
Brian C. Peters
