The Carbon Footprint BBQ trailer is getting
closer to opening on Oahu.

This week’s update: new floors are installed. It is a big
step forward for our Hawaii BBQ trailer, and we are
slowly turning this project into the future home of Oahu
BBQ plates, smoked meats, and local food for the
island.

Next up, we start decorating the outside of the trailer
with The Carbon Footprint branding.

Follow along as we build toward opening and bringing
the best BBQ to everyone.

Aloha everyone!

Big update from The Carbon Footprint — the food trailer is painted and looking one step closer to serving up BBQ.

Next up: branding the trailer with The Carbon Footprint, finishing up permits, and locking in our location.

That means we’re getting close to the day when you’ll be able to hop in the car and grab Carbon Footprint BBQ without waiting for a special drop.

Well… as long as we’re open. We’re BBQ people, not wizards.

The website is also almost ready. The backend is about 99% finished, and we’re starting to add content, updates, menus, and all the good stuff.

Things are moving fast, and it’s starting to feel very real.

Mahalo again to everyone who ordered last round — especially our new customers.

We did have one small misunderstanding.

One customer was apparently unaware that Smoked Pork Belly, also known as Smoked Bacon Brisket, comes from pork. Pork meaning pig. Pig meaning… well, things escalated quickly.

We apologize for the confusion and will do a better job going forward to make sure all menu items are clearly explained before pickup.

We also apologize for the scene that followed, including the scattered boxes, the sauce everywhere, the public disturbance, the EMTs having to be called, and the fact that the “person” involved eventually had to be tranquilized.

Everyone is safe. The BBQ was not the problem. The pig is currently resting.
