Debi Jo has been an inspiration to me as long as I’ve known her. She is my friend’s mom, and in high school their house was one of my favorite places. They lived so incredibly different to how I was raised. I was heavily inspired by Mrs. Ford’s fashion sense, home design, artistic nature and classic grace.

When I turned 16, they surprised me with the most beautiful cake. It was glittery, covered in roses and for in beautiful delicate shades of pink and cream. Can you see where my whole life was influenced by this sweet and unexpected gift!? If you know me, you know pink roses are my joy, caring for my home is one of my favorite things, and cakes have become an important part of my life. I love bringing a bit of joy and beauty into the celebrations of others!

It all started with my incredibly sweet and talented friend, Debi Jo.

Debi, you have touched and influenced lives for the better and your legacy is spreading. I hope to be half as well loved and revered as you are! Happy 70th birthday and many more!!

Sorry for the delay!! We had some last minute entries and we wanted to be sure even had their chance!

This cake coloring contest has been so much fun!! We really loved seeing all the beautiful creations your kids came up with!

It was nearly impossible to pick a winner, but the final vote was for AVERI! I can’t wait to see her creation recreated in real life!!

Check back soon to see it all finished, and thank you so much for such a fun event!
