Nobody really talks about this part of small business ownership. One minute you’re restocking milks, fixing the printer, answering vendor texts, putting away dishes, checking inventory, helping customers, and running on two sips of iced coffee… and the next minute you’re dramatically lip syncing in the back room because it’s the only thing keeping the stress levels under control 🤙🏽

Our poor staff probably thought we finally lost it today.

But honestly, sometimes those little five minute reset moments are what get you through the chaos of running a busy coffee shop. The dishes still gotta get done, the cold brew still needs to be stocked, and the line keeps coming… but for one quick second the back room turned into a full concert stage 🎤🌺

If you’ve ever worked in food service, hospitality, or a small business… you already know exactly what kind of survival mode we’re talking about 😂

We’ve built something really special here at the Shops at Mauna Lani — early morning coffee runs, afternoon catch ups, local families, visitors turned regulars, and a community that truly supports small business.

Now we’re looking for new neighbors to join us. ☕️✨

There are several open storefront opportunities throughout the shopping center and we would love to see more locally driven businesses, unique concepts, boutiques, wellness brands, food spots, artists, and entrepreneurs bring new life into these spaces.

Running a business in Hawai‘i is not always easy, but being surrounded by good people and a strong community makes all the difference. We would love to welcome more businesses that want to create something meaningful here on the Kohala Coast.

Content days at Mauna Lani Coffee Company always sound fun until the camera person is practically standing inside the espresso machine trying to “get the shot.” 🤳🏼☕️

Nothing humbles a barista faster than someone filming you steaming milk from 3 inches away while pretending to act natural. The awkward eye contact, the accidental shoulder bumps, the pressure of pouring latte art while an iPhone is breathing down your neck… part of the job now apparently 😂

But honestly, we love sharing these behind-the-scenes moments with you folks. The laughs, the chaos, the rushes, and the random dance breaks in between drink orders are what make this place feel like home.

If you see us moving tables, standing on counters, or filming cold brew from suspiciously close angles… just know we’re trying our best for the content 😅

We’ve got a few open spaces here at the Shops at Mauna Lani and we would love to see some new local businesses, boutiques, eateries, wellness concepts, or creative ideas join our little community.

One of the best parts about being here is the mix of locals, visitors, morning coffee runs, beach traffic, and familiar faces that walk the center every single day. There’s so much opportunity for businesses that want to be part of a growing community on the Kohala Coast.
