First on the list is an ice cream "flavor of the month" -- we've been getting lots of recent request for Ube ice cream, so we had to give it a try.

Search Kalapana Smoothie Shack on Google. From there you can find the order pick up option to place your order. You'll pay ahead of time, so pick up is smooth and easy!

Happy Thanksgiving 🤗

It's always a back and forth decision to stay open or close on this day of giving. This year we have decided to close our doors so that we can fully enjoy time spent with family ❤️

Kalapana Smoothie Shack is celebrating it's 10 year anniversary!!!! 🥳

It's a little wild to think back and realize it's been 10 years. Time really does fly!!

We are so thankful and grateful to have had the opportunity to serve the community for this long. There have been many ups and downs along the way -- lava, hurricanes, covid. So many obstacles that we know, had it not been for our awesome community of loyal customers/friends, we would not have been able to survive.

We want to take this time to celebrate YOU and say thank you for all of the love and support you have shown us over the years.

We know how important that morning coffee, smoothie, or bowl is to those who live in the community 💗 so we want to make sure we can be there to serve those who may not have plans.

After some strategizing, we have decided to make some big modification so that we can re-open the Smoothie Shack and Uncle's Kitchen for you guys 🤗

Starting Monday 30th from 8am-5pm, we will be allowing to-go orders only. Please come with that in mind -- as hanging out just isn't an option right now.

The property gate will remain closed, but one of our awesome crew members will be posted out front with menu boards to take your order 🙂 from there we'll make your food/drink and then bring it back out to you when it's finished.

Seating area and bathrooms will not be available.

We have set up a number through the WiFi service so that orders can be placed ahead of time. To place a Smoothie Shack order please CALL or TEXT (510) 344-7677 🙂 (Uncle's Kitchen number coming soon)

We're also working on getting a website up and running, so that orders and payments can be made online. We will post details on that as they become available.

If you'd prefer to stay in your car, please pull up to one of the front parking spaces and let our crew know you'd like to get something. We will be happy to assist you from your car 🙂

We will be practicing social distancing, and extra cleanliness, so orders may take a bit longer to complete. Please bear with us as we adjust to these new changes.

After much thought, we have decided to temporarily close down our Kalapana location.

Uncle Robert's is such a hang out spot, where people come to gather. Out of concern for the family and our community, we feel it is best to close the gates until the situation can be assessed further.

The entire property will be closed at this time. That includes Uncle's Kitchen, the Awa Club and Bar, Karuna Food's, as well as the bathrooms.

As the situation unfolds, we will keep you all updated on our plans. Please remember to love one another during this time. Practice extra good hygiene and social distancing, and most importantly - take this time to slow down and rest. Hopefully with these changes we can keep everyone safe ❤

**Our Pahoa spot will remain open at this time. Our indoor area will be closed, but take out will be available. We will shortly have a menu posted on Pahoa Smoothie Shack's page, and phone orders are highly encouraged 808-464-4239. Let's all do our best, as we navigate through this tough and confusing time

We are going to do our best to remain open during this time, here are some modifications we've currently put in place:

- We are asking that everyone take their orders to go.

- We have upped our sanitation procedures, and will be spraying and wiping down the property/work space area with a disinfectant as frequently as possible.

- Please do not come with the intentions of hanging out. We want to be able to continue to serve the community to the best of our ability, and as long as people respect these temporary modifications, I believe we'll be able to continue to do that.

* As a safety precaution, social distancing is important right now. Keep groups/gatherings small. This should help curve the spread and make it easier for the community to get back to our normal ways of living. Please remember to be kind and generous to one another. We are all in this together!
