SALT
Hawaiians have put a high value on pa‘akai (“solidified sea”), or sea salt, for centuries.
used to preserve and season food, remedies for a variety of ailments and as a ceremonial source of blessing and purification, sea salt continues to be revered
hand-harvested from pristine deep ocean waters 2,200 feet below the surface off of Keahole Point and solar evaporated, Kona Sea Salt produces some of the best salt in the world. right in our own backyard!
since 2012, Kona Sea Salt has given 1% of all proceeds to help clean up marine debris and preserve cultural sites at Papahānaumokuākea Marine National Monument, the largest UNESCO World Heritage site in the world and part of the State of Hawai‘i.
shoutout to and the amazing community work they do! (also, their salt is the best!) you should definitely go visit the farm
