El Taco Azteca El Taco Azteca was born in Juneau, Alaska in 2021. El Taco Azteca brings to the Juneau community a real type of taqueria from Mexico City.

As a concept, with events and times like 4th of July, Goldrush, Maritime Festival, and more, El Taco Azteca has been able to grow into the Juneau community.Our commitment with the community of Juneau is to keep the authenticity of the ingredients used and making all of the food from scratch; this makes El Taco Azteca a unique establishment. Specializing in tacos al pastor, our marinated al pastor

meat is made with real chiles and not chili powder.The menu also consists of the following: tacos de suadero, fish tacos, vegetarian tacos and more. Our salsas are also made from scratch, just like how it would be made in Mexico. El Taco Azteca will only be serving the best fresh ingredients. In the near future, El Taco Azteca will also be adding various Mexican dishes like tortas (mexican sandwiches), posole (mexican soup), and much more. Overall, we want to share with the wonderful community of Juneau Alaska, the most authentic tacos from Mexico city… just like our slogan says "THE TASTE OF MEXICO CITY IN ALASKA".

Huarache special coming today! For a little background, huaraches are a popular street food found all over Mexico City and beyond. They were first invented by Carmen Gomez Medina in the 1930s and were based off of a pre-Hispanic masa cake stuffed with beans called tlacoyos. They get their name based off their similar appearance to a sandal or "huarache" in Spanish.
We're serving our blue masa huaraches with beans, your choice of meat, lettuce, onions, sour cream, cheese, and pico de gallo!
