Looking for an experienced and upbeat person to replace Bug, our epic Barista! We will miss them tremendously and feel a whole@in our hearts just thinking of their departure. This little cafe really does create a little family in its work environment. Looking for part time and full time employees to hang with us through the summer!

We love you so much Juneau! What an amazing year we shared with you, but this snow is out of control and we’re gonna take a few days off! Be safe out there, we can’t wait to begin sharing new things with you in 2026, lots of plans to come!

Arnie Weimer isn’t on Facebook, and doesn’t do digital media. He does sit in the cafe almost everyday, and do a sketch or a watercolor. Maybe he’s handed you a portrait of yourself while you sat alone, maybe with friends or family. He’s the painter of the mural we have in the cafe, and a number of installations around Juneau and the country, and we’re lucky to have him as a regular here, documenting the changes around the cafe for the last 13 years.

It might be winter with fresh snow on the ground outside, but inside the cafe is warm, the pastry case is stocked with goodies, and we have all the Stumptown Coffee you need. See you soon.

We’re back!! It took a lot of work and a lot of hands, and we want to thank all of our amazing customers who have supported us over the last 13 years! Year 14 begins today at The Rookery Cafe! Regular service has returned, Monday - Friday, 7 am - 2 pm, Saturday 9 am - 2 pm.
