I'm struggling a little bit on what's next. I missed cooking actual plates daily for the public, which is why I am now on DoorDash. The problem with that though, is that they charge 30% to be on the platform....and they are not even delivering for me on Ft.Riley, despite their radius being set at 6 miles.
So while, yes, I am making money, I'm also not really making money. 30% to them, 30% to taxes and pretty much the rest of that has been going to restocking🥴
The beginning of the year, I stopped taking cake orders outside of my regulars and even with doing that, the catering side has been booming, which I absolutely love!
Soooo I'm struggling whether to quit doordash and just do pop up plates here and there, or wait a few months for my app to be fully running so I can skip the commission fees.....HALLPPPPPP
