The sky has been getting a lot of attention lately, but nights like this are part of why we love it out here. 🌌

Joshua Tree has been an International Dark Sky Park since 2017. Protecting that darkness keeps the stars visible and gives the desert’s nocturnal wildlife the darkness they need too.

This timelapse was captured by the very talented Henry Jun Wah Lee, whose page is full of desert skies, astral events, and beautiful places far beyond Joshua Tree. Definitely worth a look. 📷
