We’re also working toward a big goal: 100 meals by the end of the week.
Every order helps us feed more families in our community, and we’re so grateful for everyone who’s already jumped in.

Fun fact: In the state of Missouri, a business owner (yours truly) is responsible for paying the sales tax on non cash adjustments. These are credit card fees the customer pays that go to the c.c. company. None of the fees go to our business, but for some reason, we have to pay sales tax on it. At the end of the year, we have to claim it as sales. This s**t ain't right! Our tiny, sometimes struggling restaurantsand businesses are paying taxes on money they never see.

Wonderfully stated Blackthorn Pizza & Pub Go visit a small business today!!

We will open back up at 11am today!!! This week has been REALLY hard for small businesses! It's a hard decision to close. You want to keep your staff safe, but you're also losing money. I'm not talking about losing profits, but actually going negative. Our full-time staff have PTO, and the utilities are still running. It costs money to close your doors, and small businesses don't have huge bank accounts or corporate to fall back on. It's stressful. So, go support a small business today. I'm not saying us, I'm saying ANY local business. Want a burger? Go to Downtown Burgers. Want breakfast? Go to The Bruncheonette. Want coffee? Go to Joplin Avenue Coffee Company. Want a sandwich? Go to Red Onion Cafe or Club 609. Want the best steak in town? Go to Wilder's Steakhouse. Want pizza? Well, you know the answer to that one.....but you can also go next door to New York Pizza & Deli. There's enough of you to go around. It's not a competition. Don't want to get out? Most of us are also on DoorDash or offer in house delivery. Be safe out there friends, and support local! ❤️
