Some chapters are harder to close than others.
In 2024, a couple of Joplin Greenhouse employees came to Curt with an idea—and an opportunity—to extend JGH into Downtown Joplin.
If you know Joplin Greenhouse, you know we believe in giving people the opportunity to dream big, try something new, and see where a good idea can grow.
So, with a whole lot of hard work, creativity, planning, and probably more coffee than we can count… an idea began to take root. While their JGH chapters also came to a close, we are forever grateful for their hard work and determination.
And in December 2024, Bloom blossomed.
From the beginning, the goal was simple: create a unique coffee experience in Downtown Joplin and serve our community with the same excellence and heart that JGH has always been built around.
And unique it was.
Bloom Dogs. Bloom Buckets. Coffee flights. Canned coffee. Matcha classes. Plant Bingo. Wild menu ideas. And plenty of moments where someone said, “Okay… but what if we tried this?”
At Bloom, the sky was always the limit.
We also have to give a very special shoutout to Jaelyn. From the moment she stepped into managing Bloom, she poured herself into this place and its people. From pitching crazy ideas to Curt (yes, including putting our coffee in cans), to teaching matcha classes, to literally getting coffee thrown in her face for social media content… if there was an idea worth trying, she was willing to give it 110%. Bloom wouldn't have been Bloom without her creativity, leadership, and willingness to run with an idea.
And to every person who walked through those doors, ordered a Bloom Bucket, tried one of our slightly unhinged drink creations, attended an event, brought a friend, shared a post, or simply made Bloom part of your routine—thank you.
Our community has always been the reason we do what we do.
But every chapter eventually comes to an end, and this one is certainly bittersweet. We have made the decision to sale Bloom as a Joplin Greenhouse location. While our chapter at Bloom is ending, we'd love to see its story continue.
We are offering Bloom as a turnkey business opportunity to someone who sees the potential in this little Downtown Joplin shop and wants to make it their own. Serious inquiries can be sent directly to Curt at [email protected].
