What a fun evening at the Men Who Cook event!

Chef John was scheduled to be one of the judges, and when they found themselves a judge short, Ms. Ramey was happy to step in and help. Let us tell you, it was not an easy job!

There were so many delicious entries, incredible sides, and amazing desserts. The talent in our community is truly impressive, and choosing winners was extremely difficult. Every chef brought something special to the table.

We were also fortunate to serve alongside our fellow judge, William Cash. It was our first time meeting him, and what a genuinely nice guy! We thoroughly enjoyed getting to know him throughout the evening.

The Entrée Winner and Grand Champion of the evening was our very own Chief Elliot with his absolutely outstanding Deer Chili. Y’all, it was incredible! Rich, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. If you are ever fortunate enough to be offered a bowl of Chief Elliot’s deer chili, do yourself a favor and say YES!

Who knew our Police Chief was such an amazing cook?

To make the evening even sweeter, he generously boxed up some chili for us to take home. Lucky us!

Thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, and helped make the event such a success. We had a wonderful time celebrating great food, great people, and our community. We can’t wait to do it all again next year!

Today, Chef John has the honor of judging the Men Who Cook event benefiting the Jonesboro Community Development Corporation.

We’re also excited about our collaboration with the Foundation of Arts and their production of Something Rotten!. If you’re attending the show, be sure to ask about our special brunch promotion created just for theatergoers. We love supporting the arts and partnering with organizations that make Jonesboro such a wonderful place to live.

And of course, tomorrow is Father’s Day Brunch! Chef John’s Steak & Eggs special will be waiting, along with all your Parsonage favorites.

Good morning, friends!

Just a heads up—we don’t have a lunch special today. We hosted another football breakfast this morning, and Chef John has been hard at work since 5:00 a.m. making sure our guests were well fed. By the time breakfast wrapped up, there just wasn’t enough time to create a special for lunch.

But honestly, we think this review that came in this morning is pretty special. ❤️

Thank you for supporting local, for sharing your kind words, and for allowing us to do what we love every day.
