These aren’t trends. They’re the plates most kitchens quietly stopped making because they take too long. We never stopped.
1. Baby Beef Liver & Onions
Tender liver grilled and served with sautéed onions or bacon strips. Try finding this on another menu in Will County. We’ll wait.
2. Breaded Veal Cutlet
Hand breaded and topped with our homemade brown gravy. Hand breaded means somebody in our kitchen is doing it by hand, every day, before you walk in.
3. Hot Beef
An open faced plate, smothered in gravy, eaten with a fork. The kind of lunch counter food that’s nearly extinct in the suburbs.
4. Oven Roasted Breast of Turkey
Served with dressing, turkey gravy, and cranberry sauce. Thanksgiving dinner on a random Tuesday, and no dishes to wash.
5. Baked Meatloaf
Our own freshly ground chuck blended with spices, topped with homemade brown gravy. We grind it. We bake it. We make the gravy. That’s three steps nobody else bothers with.
Also still on the menu: breaded pork tenderloin, country fried steak, hot veal cutlet, hot pork tenderloin, and BBQ back ribs by the half or full slab. Mashed potatoes and gravy on the side. Homemade pie after.
Family owned by the Zografos family since 1988. Same recipes, same kitchen, same reason your parents brought you here.
