Hello everyone, I know this post is long overdue, the more we waited the harder it became to write, but here we go.
It is with great sadness that we say Catrinas Mex is permanently closed. There were many factors that lead to this decision, but I won't bore you with the details. I am just here to say thank YOU. Thank you for giving us the honor of sharing our food with you.
Thank you to the people that supported us
The people that came every week for their Carne tampiqueña & enchiladas Swissas.
The people that came to enjoy a good book while eating their steak Tacos with lettuce, onion & cheese
The people that came for some girl time while sipping on a top shelf margarita made w Patron
The people that got burrito bowls for the office every single Friday
The people that came after work to drink some beers and complain about their bosses while making everyone at the restaurant laugh w their stories
The people that went out of their way during the holidays to bless us with kind words & gifts
The people that liked, commented & shared every post like it was their job
The people that came in one day because they saw a random ad on Facebook & became lifelong friends
I could go on and on with a hundred stories, a hundred people and a hundred memorized orders. You all became my family & I wish I could thank you all individually but you know who you are 💜
I would also like to thank the city of Joliet & it's great workers that helped us every step of the way. The mayor Bob O'Dekirk, Lauren Las, Derek Conley, Cesar Cardenas & his team at Unidos Marketing, The folks at the Joliet Area Bar & Restaurant Guide and many many more.
One more thank you to our staff
The kitchen team:
Eliseo, Joaquin, Chaparrito
The front staff:
Jasmine, Kim, Celeste, Julie, Cinthia, Abby, Lindsay, Sebastian, Our bartender Jay, All star manager Manny, & everyone thats ever been a part of the team. Thank you for your support and good luck with all your future endeavors.
Love, Amy
