At the beginning of 2026, I wrote down a few goals that felt exciting, a little intimidating, and honestly, a little unlikely.

One was creating a cake for Survivor 50. ✔️

Another was creating a cake for Luke Combs. ✔️

Both of those goals are now memories I’ll never forget.

Today, I’m heading out for the next chapter of a dream that was also on that list. I can’t share the details just yet, but it involves stepping into a world I’ve wanted to be part of for a long time. Sometimes the opportunities you hope for arrive in ways you never expect.

This year has been a reminder that goals aren’t achieved overnight. They’re built through years of showing up, creating, failing, learning, and continuing anyway when nobody sees the work behind the scenes.

If there’s something you’ve been chasing, keep going. The timeline may not look the way you imagined, but progress is still progress.

Here’s to checking off goals, chasing new ones, and seeing where the next adventure leads.

Some weekends leave you refreshed. Others leave you inspired. This one somehow managed to do both.

Our stay at felt like stepping away from the noise of everyday life and into a place where conversations lasted longer, laughter came easier, and connections felt genuine. From relaxing accommodations to some of the best food I’ve had in a long time, every detail made us feel welcome.

One of my favorite parts of the weekend was getting to connect with so many talented people from our region and learn more about the incredible things happening right here in our own backyard. We enjoyed amazing music from , watched a fly fishing demonstration from that may have officially turned my son and I into a fly fisherman, and had the opportunity to cook alongside the incredibly talented .chef.t —a true highlight of the trip.

As someone who spends a lot of time creating, it’s always refreshing to be surrounded by other passionate people who love what they do. The stories shared, the friendships formed, and the memories made are what I’ll remember most.

Grateful for the invitation, the hospitality, and the reminder that some of the best experiences happen when good people come together around great food, music, and community.

There will be more to share about this experience but for now I am soaking in this opportunity.

This one feels like a walk through a wildflower meadow at sunset, soft lavender skies, delicate blooms, and all the little details that make nature so beautiful.

Piped entirely by hand, each flower, leaf, and stem was added one detail at a time to create a garden that wraps around every tier. Simple, elegant, and full of springtime charm.
