Salehe Bembury may not be a name you're familiar with, but you can bet your favourite designer is. Bembury has spent the better part of two decades immersed in the sneaker world, slowly climbing to the summit of an industry that is as competitive as they get. Rather than resting atop the sneaker mountain, though, Bembury is cementing his place there. 2022 was his biggest year solidifying a huge deal with Crocs & New Balance.

In December 2015, Grind opened its doors on Communipaw Avenue in the Bergen/Lafayette section of Jersey City and became the home of our communities coffee culture. At its core was a group of neighborhood kids, Jersey City creatives and local artists who became the stores staff, customers and family.

Grind grew to embody Jersey City culture and plays an integral part in its constant regeneration. While we developed into an institution, Grind established itself as a brand known for its quality, style and undeniable authenticity.

Over 7 years, Grind has expanded into multiple locations and into a global community; working with generations of artists, photographers, designers, musicians, filmmakers and writers who defied conventions and contributed to its unique identity and attitude.
