& now a little back story on the little entrepreneur behind the
Spicy Savory Snacks, our nephew Ruben Madrigal.
Ruben is currently 11 years old. When he turned 10 last year, he asked us that he wanted to save up money to buy himself a passport to visit his family in Mexico. We agreed that it would be fun adventure and he started his own business selling toys and water bottles during our fair events with only 250$ invested. Throughout last summer, Ruben learned a lot of valuable lessons including; Money Management, Profit/loss , counting change, customer service, & most important of all, he learned to make responsible spending decisions from money that he earned himself. In Fall, he was proud to say he bought some of his own back to school clothes, supplies, & an instrument for his band class. This year, one of his resolutions was to expand his business and actually add a name to it, thus "Chamoy Cuhh" was born. Last week we soft opened his business and people have loved his products! This summer he hopes to be able to have his own booth selling his products.
We are extremely proud of Ruben accomplishments and hard work despite having obstacles growing up that are out of his control.
He vowed to donate a portion of his sales to Drug Rehab Facilities in Twin Falls which we at La Botana will match.
