Being a third-generation family business has shaped the way we see our work. It reminds us that every decision we make reflects not only on our company today, but on the generations that built it, and those who will carry it forward.
For Sam Borg, MRS Baking has always been part of his life.
"It's all I've ever known," he says. Having grown up around the family business, he's seen firsthand what it takes to build lasting relationships, earn customers' trust, and maintain the standards MRS Baking has become known for.
Sam’s days as Sales Manager are spent checking in with customers, introducing new products, and helping businesses find solutions that fit their needs. One of his favorite parts of the job is seeing a customer's vision come to life, whether it's a special event, a new menu item, or finding just the right product.
To Sam, customer relationships are the heart of the business. "Relationships are everything in this business. Our customers need to know they can count on us. Even when challenges come up, they know we'll do everything we can to make it right."
He's also excited about the future of foodservice. As customer needs continue to evolve, Sam enjoys working with bakery partners to bring in innovative products, including options that accommodate dietary restrictions and food allergies.
When asked what carrying on the family business means to him, his answer was simple:
"It means everything to me. I am now a part of carrying on the legacy that my grandparents built. I want to make the company bigger and better for the generations to follow me."
That's the passion that continues to drive MRS Baking forward.
