Drumroll please… 🥁 Introducing Steve and Beth Shepherd as two of this year's celebrity dancers for Dancing with Our Southern Indiana Stars!

Steve and Beth are the proud fifth-generation owners of Schimpff's Confectionery, one of Southern Indiana's most beloved family businesses. As newlyweds and the newest stewards of a confectionery tradition spanning more than 135 years, they're passionate about preserving the craftsmanship, quality, and history that have made Schimpff's a local favorite for generations.

Beth brings a background in sales, marketing, and business development, and is also a proud five-year breast cancer survivor. Her personal journey has given her a deep appreciation for compassionate care and the organizations that support patients and families during life's most difficult moments. Steve spent years as a mechanical engineer before returning to help lead the family business into its next chapter.

Together, Steve and Beth are the proud parents of eleven children and are passionate about giving back to the Southern Indiana community that has supported their family for generations.

While making candy comes naturally, dancing is definitely taking them outside their comfort zone! 🍬💃 They're excited to step onto the dance floor to support the compassionate care Hosparus Health Southern Indiana provides to patients and families across our community.

Sorry we haven’t kept you updated… the August road trip is going great!

As usual, there have been a few important candy stops along the way — including Crown Candy Kitchen and the Broadway Diner in Columbia, Missouri. We even left some Schimpff’s Blue Raspberry candy at the diner, and we’ve already gotten word back that they LOVE them! 💙🍬

And then there’s this…

A friend who told us about the Peddler’s Trunk sent us a photo of another piece that’s for sale. It’s an incredible old Union Chocolate delivery wagon, and he even sent us a picture showing what it could look like restored and back on the road! 🐴🍫

Now THAT would be one sweet piece of Schimpff’s history! 😍

And finally, Warren & Jill made a stop at Sweet Granada in Emporia, Kansas — the candy shop that was voted #2 in the nation in 2024! 🍭
