Thursday, October 1st, marks 2 YEARS since we took over Tan-A-Latte & Gifts! ❤️

And wow… what a two years it has been.

There has been a whole lot of heart, blood, sweat, tears, renovations, caffeine, laughter, illness, life changes, unexpected challenges… and apparently even a little wildlife management. 😂

Because nothing says “small business ownership” quite like serving lattes one minute and chasing a bat around Tan-A-Latte the next. 🦇☕😂

And then, of course, there’s the ghost. 👻

We’re pretty sure it came with the building. At this point, it’s basically staff. Unfortunately, it has yet to pick up a shift.

Through all the craziness, so much has changed over these two years — and we truly believe it has changed for the better. ❤️

We’ve poured everything we have into this little business, even during some of the hardest seasons of our personal lives. There have definitely been days when keeping everything going wasn’t easy, but seeing what Tan-A-Latte has become makes every crazy moment worth it.

And NONE of it would be possible without YOU.
Every coffee you buy, every tanning package, every gift, every Facebook share, every Google or Yelp review, every recommendation and every time you walk through our door helps keep this little local business going.

❤️ A Little October Update From Tan-A-Latte ❤️

October is going to be a little up in the air for us, so we wanted to give everyone a heads-up and ask for a little extra patience and understanding.
I’ll be going out for surgery the week of October 12th, and we’re hopeful that Jess will finally be making her return right around the same time. We’re also currently short-staffed, so there are quite a few moving pieces happening at once!

I’ve been battling an infection that has been causing recurring fevers and requiring a lot more rest than I’m used to. I’m doing okay and we’re making it through, but it’s time to get this taken care of.

During surgery, my three upper rear molars will be removed, the infected area will be cleaned and scraped out, and tissue from the area will be sent for a biopsy so we can hopefully get some answers about exactly what we’re dealing with.
Because the infection and the roots of those upper teeth are so close to the sinus cavity, there is also a possibility that my sinus will need to be repaired during the surgery.

Depending on what they find and whether the sinus repair is necessary, I’ve been told to prepare for anywhere from 3 days to 2 weeks off work. We really won’t know exactly what recovery will look like until the surgery is completed.

So, October may require us to roll with the punches a little. ❤️

Between my surgery and recovery, waiting on biopsy results, Jess hopefully returning, and being short-staffed, our business hours may occasionally need to change on short notice. We’ll do our best to keep everyone updated here on Facebook and give as much notice as we can.

Please bear with us over the next few weeks. Your patience, kindness, and continued support mean more to us than you probably realize!!!

We’ll keep doing everything we can to keep the coffee brewing, the tanning beds glowing, and Tan-A-Latte moving forward. ☕❤️

Tomorrow marks two years since we took over Tan-A-Latte & Gifts, and we’re feeling especially grateful. ❤️

Two years ago, we stepped into this adventure not knowing exactly what the journey would look like. Since then, this little shop has become so much more than a business to us. It’s the familiar faces walking through the door, the conversations over coffee, the laughs, the friendships, and getting to be a small part of your everyday lives.

Some of you have been cheering us on since the very beginning, and some of you have just recently found us. We are truly thankful for every single one of you. Every coffee you’ve grabbed on your way to work, every tan, every gift you’ve purchased, every kind word, review, recommendation, and friend you’ve sent through our doors has meant more to our family than you probably realize.

Thank you for giving us two wonderful years. ❤️ We feel incredibly lucky to be part of this community, and we can’t wait to see what Year 3 brings!
