Brrr….its going to get COOOOLLD! 🥶

They’re saying wind chills as low as -45* Friday morning…and if my hairy Anatolian Shepherd pup doesn’t even want to go outside, I’m thinking my employees shouldn’t be going outside and traveling to/from work either. That being said, I told the Brickhaus staff to stay warm in their homes, BUT! since I live about 14 steps from the cafe, I’ll be here 7am-9:30am Friday morning, serving beverages and pastries only. (No kitchen tomorrow though, since I can’t be both the front of the house and back of the house at the same time, sadly). So if you want to brave the cold and warm up with a hot coffee/latte, swing by! I also just made some fresh carrot bran (with pineapple & pecans) muffins that might hit the spot too.
Many small businesses slow during the cold months of January & February…especially in our industry and especially when it gets reeeeaally really cold. But the minute that sun shines, and temps rise above freezing, and its more comfortable to walk the downtown, be sure to hit up your local boutiques, bakeries, antique/gift shops, tanning salons, and cafe/restaurants. And hit them up hard. 🤍🤍
