🚧 Alright y'all... another milestone down! 🔥🇨🇺🧡

Building inspections are officially DONE! ✅

We had a few minor corrections to make, with the biggest one being the railing layout for La Ventanita.

That's been taken care of, and the entrance to La Ventanita is now next to the double doors into the building.

Next up: the Health Department! 🩺✅

They're scheduled to be out during the second week of August; we're hoping for August 7th. 🤞

Poco a poco se anda lejos. Every inspection gets us one step closer to pressing your first Sang-Wich-Aye. 🥪☕🍮

Thank 🫵 all for sticking with us through this journey. We know it's been a long road, but trust us... it's going to be worth the wait. 🇨🇺🧡

🚧 As promised... we're OFF to inspection! 🔥🇨🇺🧡

Every week, we're checking another item off a seemingly never-ending list, getting one step closer to opening La Ventanita.

✅ Dumpster delivered
✅ Fire extinguishers inspected & up to date
✅ Customer bar installed
✅ Smoker(s) enclosure complete
✅ The old drive-thru is almost history 👋
⭐️ Building Department inspection requested
⭐️ Health Department inspection requested

It's been a journey, and we know it's taken longer than anyone (especially us 😅) expected. But we're committed to doing this the right way, from permits and inspections to all the little details that most people never see.

"Poco a poco se anda lejos." If abuelita could see us now, using her recipes, sharing her food and culture 🧡

🚧 Progress update from Sang-Wich-Aye 🇨🇺

This week we got the new rails and bollards installed! Next week we'll tackle the smoker enclosure, bar top, and new awning. 🤞

But the best part of the day wasn't the construction. Someone stopped by and left us a handwritten note that simply said:

"Local Cubans & Miami expatriates are waiting. Somewhat patiently." — Manny

That one made us smile... and tear up a little.
When we moved from Miami to Jefferson City, we never imagined we'd be bringing a little piece of Miami to our new home. The support, encouragement, and excitement from this community has meant more than you know. We're not quite there yet, but we're getting closer every day.
